A delegation of the People National People, PNC, led by the flagbearer, Hassan Ayariga has called on President John Dramani Mahama at the Castle, Osu, to express their condolence and to encourage him in steering the affairs of the state.

Mr. Ayariga said the time has come for Ghanaians to use the death of Prof Mills as sacrifice to uphold the peace and stability of the country.

Former flagbearer of the party, Dr. Edward Mahama, suggested that either Professor Mills’ birthday should be made a holiday and celebrated or a monument be erected to remind politicians of selfless dedication to the cause of the nation and not their personal gains.

President Mahama said the government is considering all the suggestions to immortalize the memories of Prof. Mills.

He said Prof. Mills will go down as one of the finest politicians Ghana has produced.
