Ministry takes steps to dispose of medical waste from Korle-Bu
The Ministry of Health has taken steps to properly dispose of waste from the nation's premier referral hospital, Korle-Bu.

This follows Parliament's approval for government to guarantee a credit agreement between Sewage Systems Ghana Limited and Standard Chartered Bank Ghana Limited.

The 95 million Ghana cedi credit will be used to construct and manage a liquid and medical waste system. These are the Korle-Bu Medical Waste Disposal Plant, the Mudor Feacal Waste Treatment Plant and the Accra Treatment Plant.

The House also approved government's guarantee of a 50 million Ghana Cedi Credit facility between Sino Africa Development Company Limited and the fidelity Bank Limited.

The money will be used to build and furnish Constituency Offices for Members of Parliament.
