Government steps up efforts to improve technology innovation
The Government is stepping up efforts to improve skills training and technology innovation as a crucial initiative to speed up economic development.

To this effect, a Skills Development Fund, SDF has been set up to enhance the initiative.

The fund aims at improving the linkages between private sector employers, training and technology institutions.

It is a government of Ghana initiative and funded through International Development Agency, the World Bank and Danish International Development Agency, DANIDA.

The Communications and Outreach Officer at Skills Development Fund, Kofi Asare said academic progression has been a major challenge which discourages students from pursuing vocational and technical education.

He said, students are unable to go beyond certificate level as compared to other courses.
