The Catholic Metropolitan Archbishop of Accra, Most Rev. Charles Palmer Buckle, has emphasised the need for the media to apply their gate keeping role to ensure that negative sentiments made by politicians are not repeated to the public.

This is to help sustain the peace the country is enjoying.

Most Rev. Palmer Buckle was speaking at the confirmation of 90 members of the St. Paul's Catholic Church at Kpehe in Accra.
