The Daily Graphic writes on the Weija dam, which it says is crying for attention. According to the paper, it is regrettable that the lands commission, the Town and Country Planning Department, the Ghana water and Company Limited and the Weija municipal assembly look on whilst people encroach and cause havoc to this important national heritage. The Graphic urges Ghanaians especially the encroachers to desist from contaminating the Weija dam to prevent it from becoming like the Korle and Chemu lagoons. The paper calls on the authorities to descend heavily on the agents of destruction who it says are determined to kill the Weija dam.

The Ghanaian Times bemoans heavy traffic on the Odorkor-Kasoa road despite much improvement. This the paper attributes to indiscipline and recklessness especially by commercial drivers. It says the use of unapproved route in order to get to their destination end up worsening traffic congestion. The Times therefore appeals to the Head of the MTTU to encourage his men and women to enforce the law by ensuring that drivers who misbehave are arrested. The paper also appeals to the Ministry of Roads and Highways to consider creating by-pass along the route to minimize the heavy traffic.
