The Daily Graphic writes on the successful execution of elections 2012 in general and the role the National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE) plays towards it in particular. It says the NCCE has many challenges which make its efforts appear not to be felt in the society. For this reason the Graphic supports the call by the Chairperson of the NCCE, Mrs. Charlotte Osei, for media collaboration to reach out to the populace with its educational programmes. The paper also urges the government and society to give whatever support is required, for NCCE to deliver its mandate effectively.

The Ghanaian Times says it is encouraged by the fact that the EC is opening its doors to the political parties, to demystify the process involved in elections, as to disabuse perception people have about the Commission. The paper believes the political parties will take advantage of the open door policy and educate their members on the work of the Commission to avoid unnecessary chaos, during the general election. The Times thinks the gesture must also be extended to the media, to keep them abreast of the Commission work.

The Today newspaper lauds the Ministry of Education's directive to tertiary institutions to follow applicable entry requirements or run the risk of having their accreditation revoked and their schools closed down. The paper says though the directive is tough, it is right as it will help check the mushrooming of all kinds of private tertiary institutions claiming to run all types of courses. The paper says even though contributions by private tertiary institutions are commendable, it is necessary to check them so they do not overstep their boundaries.
