The Daily Graphic lauds the initiative of the College of Agriculture and Consumer Sciences, of the University of Ghana to train and mentor agricultural graduates to become farm entrepreneurs. The paper finds it satisfying that the project is a collaboration between the National Service Secretariat and the College. The Daily Graphic is of the view that, the project should not end with the provision of the initial start-up support. Government should go on to provide a ready market for the produce as well. The paper says if the project is to achieve its objective of helping to establish community based farm management centres, its educational aspect should not be neglected. Also Ghanaians must be re-oriented to eat the food grown locally, since that is healthier.

The Ghanaian Times calls on media owners to make adequate preparation to equip their reporters with the necessary resources as the December 7 elections draw closer. To the paper, it is a fact that most media practitioners work under very poor conditions which compel them to be unprofessional. The Times says for the media to be responsible, accurate, fair and objective especially with political issues, their owners must provide them with the necessary logistics to prevent political favour and influence. The paper therefore urges media owners to ensure that transportation and accommodation needs, overnight and other allowances are budgeted for and paid to journalists to cover the elections. This it believes, will insulate journalists from politicians who are eager to cash in and influence their reportage.

The Informer urges the Land Commission to reverse the sale of land belonging to the Ghana Police Service to Alisa Hotel. To the paper, the decision by the Commission and its Chairman to sell the land is abnormal and a great disincentive to government in its efforts to adequately resource the Police Service. It says information available indicates that the hotel has started conveying materials to the site in preparation for a structure to be put up. The Informer however promises to fight continuously until the decision is reversed.
