Three Communities in Bole District hooked unto the National Grid
Three communities in the Bole District, Maluwe, Tinga and Bale, have been hooked unto the national grid as part of government's Rural Electrification Project.

The Vice President, John Dramani Mahama, who symbolically pressed the knob for the communities to be lighted up, said it is the role of government to ensure that all five hundred and forty-five targeted communities across the country become part of the project.

He noted that the Better Ghana Agenda is not limited to just a few people but all and sundry irrespective of location.

The Rural Electrification Project is part of government's effort to boost productivity at the grass root level.

Mr. Mahama urged the beneficiary communities to take advantage of the electricity to set up small and medium scale enterprises and other productive ventures.

Residents of Maluwe, Tinga and Bale greeted the gesture with cheers, drumming and dancing in appreciation to government.

Last year the Vice President inaugurated similar projects at Mandari, Mankuma and Banda Nkwanta all in the Northern Region.

Meanwhile, the Vice President is expected today, Friday to cut sod for the commencement of the work on the Fufulso- Sawla- Damongo Road.
