They are mostly relegated to the background in most situations due their challenge. When it comes to employment for example, their sighted colleagues are preferred over them. In most cases they are ignored. The physically challenged-in this case-the blind have suffered discrimination in many instances, often never given the chance to prove their worth. However, the myth of the sighted being superior to the blind is gradually being broken-thanks to technology. In this special report, we bring you some of the new technologies that have aided in bridging that gap and even making the blind sometimes more powerful than the sighted.
