The Daily Graphic revisits the issue of foreigners involved in illegal mining. The paper thinks the time has come to stop foreigners from getting into the ‘galamsey’ business to degrade the environment. This, the paper says, must be done as quickly as possible before illegal Chinese miners who are coming into the country in droves, gain a foothold. The Graphic urges government to come up with a strategy and liaise directly with the Chinese government to stamp out the illegal activities of some of its nationals in the country.

The Today newspaper finds it reassuring that the President is back safely and in good health. The paper believes there are still more jobs to be done and social problems to be solved adding that, now that the President's energy level is stronger than before, it is important he settles down to address them because, it is for those reasons why majority of the people voted the National Democratic Congress, NDC, into power.

The Heritage blames government for the lack of support to poultry farmers which is making the business unprofitable due to the high cost of running the business. The paper notes that while poultry importers make unreasonable demand on government for a reduction in tariffs, Ghanaian poultry farmers watch helplessly as their businesses collapse due to lack of support. The Heritage believes Ghanaian poultry producers are the ones who deserve to be assisted since they are the ones who give employment and not those who help foreign producers to grow their businesses.
