National Hilal Committee announces Ramadan fasting dates
The National Hilal Committee of Muslims in Ghana has announced that if the new moon sighted on Thursday the 19 of July fasting in the month of Ramadan will begin on Friday the 20th of July.

However, if the moon is not sighted on Thursday the 19th of next month, then Friday 20th July becomes the 29th day of Shaban and therefore the Ramadan fast would start on Saturday 21st of July.

A member of the National Hilal Committee, Shak Gazali Yakubu, announced this on behalf of the Committee at the 18th National Ramadan Conference in Sunyani.
