Ghana hit by female condom shortage
There is an acute shortage of female condom in the country. This has partly been attributed to lack of funds.

The President of the Society for Women and AIDS in Africa, SWAA, Nancy Ansah, has therefore sent an SOS to international donors, NGOs and corporate Ghana to help make the commodity available.

Madam Ansah who said this at the launch of the first ever Ghana Female Condom Conference in Accra said the unavailability of the female condom has slowed down advocacy campaign thus exposing women to preventable sexually transmitted diseases.
