The Daily Graphic considers the arrest of some members of a police recruitment syndicate at the police hospital as a new dimension to the problems bedeviling the service. It says the arrest brings to the fore activities of some criminally minded persons who have infiltrated the police service and are using that opportunity to make money at the expense of the state and compromise the sanctity of the service. The Graphic says the number of unscrupulous individuals who have through such means been recruited into the service should be an issue of great concern to the public. The paper hopes the police will carry out the necessary investigations to bring to book all those involved.

The Ghanaian Times is asking all well meaning Ghanaians to join hands in exposing politicians who thrive on falsehood. To the paper, politics of deception is not good for the country's democratic process as the electorate would be compelled to lose confidence in what politicians tell them. According to the Times, the media being the fourth estate of the realm must be seen to be exposing some of these vain promises, but says they will need the support of all, especially those who appreciate the rule of law. This, the paper believes would enable politicians to function effectively.
