Floods have rendered some roads in the Ellembele District unmotorable after two days of torrential rains.

The Nzema-Nkroful road has been blocked as a result of the floods.

The District Chief Executive for Ellembele, Daniel Eshun, told GBC's Radio Ghana that some schools in the Tandam area have also been submerged.

He said NADMO officials are currently on the ground to assist people at low - land areas to move to high lands.
