Govt to inaugurate newly created districts in July

The Minister of Local Government and Rural Development, Samuel Ofosu Ampofo, says all newly created districts will be inaugurated on the 3rd of July this year throughout the country.

Speaking on GBC’s Current Affairs Programme, ‘Behind the News’, Mr. Ofosu Ampofo said some monies have already been allocated to the new districts to upgrade infrastructures and also help build the needed amenities for them.

He said officers have already been posted to the new constituencies to start working towards its development as elections draw closer.
