Hospitals must offer compulsory blood sugar checks
The National Diabetes Association of Ghana is urging the Ministry of Health to make it compulsory for hospitals to conduct at least a finger prick to test the sugar level of people who visit the facility.

The Association is concerned about increasing cases of diabetes, especially as the course of treatment is very expensive.

The Projects Director of the Association, Esi Denyeh, told GBC’s Radio Ghana that there are about two million diabetic Patients in Ghana.
