European Union supports Ghana with € 7m for Election 2012

The European Union is supporting Ghana's elections with € 7m.

The grant is to ensure free, fair and transparent elections.


Institutions benefiting from the support are the Electoral Commission, the NCCE and the National Media Commission.

Launching the EU's support in Accra, the head of the delegation, Claude Maerten said with Ghana's outstanding democratic achievements, he is optimistic that this year's election will be peaceful.
