Ghana Oil Company Limited (GOIL) Appoints New MD

Mr. Patrick Akpe Kwame Akorli, Finance Manager of the Ghana Oil Company Limited (GOIL) has been appointed the company’s new Managing Director.

Mr. Patrick Akpe Kwame Akorli begins his new role effective June 1, 2012, the Board of Directors of GOIL announced in a statement.

Mr. Akorli joined the company in 1994 and has served in various positions including acting Chief Accountant, Treasurer, Chief Internal Auditor and on occasion, acted as the Fuels Marketing Manager.

Mr. Akorli is a Chartered Accountant by profession and also holds an Executive Masters degree in Business Administration from the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA).
