The Daily Graphic describes as heartwarming, the disclosure by the Ghana Investment Promotion Council that investor confidence in the country continues to grow day by day with the injection of more projects and a greater quantum of resources. It says the announcement by the council that the country recorded 95 new investment projects with an estimated value of over GH¢ 2b in the first quarter of this year is historic. The Graphic however urges the council to endeavour to be on its toes to take up more enviable feats and calls on Ghanaians to continue to denounce and openly oppose the utterances and actions of war mongers who wish to plunge the country into needless motives.

The Ghanaian Times reiterates the need to empower women for national development. It says efforts at poverty alleviation would not be possible unless rural women are supported and empowered. To the Times, the nation should not consider women empowerment only in terms of giving them a quota of seats in parliament and other political positions but also economic empowerment to promote development.
