Banking sector records growth

The banking sector recorded strong growth in the first quarter of the year with financial institutions doing well in the area of increasing credit to private businesses.

According to the Governor of the Bank of Ghana, Banks have also made some strides in collecting most of the loans given out.

On the average banks are lending to individuals and businesses around 28.5%.
