Ghana, South Africa hopeful of new partnership in Energy and Tourism
South Africa's Vice President Kgalema Motlanthe was on Thursday night hosted to a dinner at the State Banquet hall in Accra.

The dinner was to welcome him to a three day working visit to Ghana.

Vice President John Mahama observed that Ghana and South Africa have strong historic relations and there is also collaboration between the ANC and NDC as socialist parties.

He was hopeful that his South African counterpart's visit will bring on board new partnerships in the area of energy and tourism among others.

Vice President of South Africa Kgalema Motlanthe in a toast paid glowing tribute to Dr Kwame Nkrumah, whose ideals to see a United Africa linger on.

He noted that as the country prepares for elections, South Africa is looking up to Ghana to once again demonstrate a shining example of good governance and the rule of law.

Mr Motlanthe as part of his three day visit will hold bilateral meetings with Vice President John Mahama and some Ministries.

He would also tour the Kwame Nkrumah Mausoleum and the Akosombo Dam.

Mr Kglema Motlanthe returns home on Saturday, the 21st of April.
