He says they should learn from the life of Jesus Christ by being responsible, showing love to one another and being at peace with each other.

The Vice President gave the advice when he and his wife, Lordina Mahama, organised an Easter party for some children from the Osu children's Home at their residence in Accra.

The children, who enjoyed the meals and drinks, also took time to sing and exhibit their skills in the ‘Azonto’ dance and other modern Ghanaian dances.

Vice President Mahama said his wife, Lordina, had over the past years provided similar treats to the children at the Osu children’s home, adding that, “This year round, we have decided to bring them to our residence to have some feeling of belongingness in society.”

The Vice President and his family also took turns to dance, take photographs and eat with the children as part of the celebration.

Vice President Mahama added: “We are happy to be associated with children from the Osu children’s Home and will continue to pray and support them to become useful and responsible adults in future.

Madam Sharon Abbey, Manageress of the Home commended the second family for their generosity and appealed to other individuals and groups to support them to maintain the status of the centre for future generations.
