Desmond Tutu angry over Dalai Lama visa

South Africa Nobel laureate, Archbishop Desmond Tutu says South Africa is worse than the apartheid government for failing to issue a visa to the Dalai Lama.

He told a nationally televised news conference that he least expected such an action from the ANC government.

It is the second time in two years that the Dalai Lama's visit to South Africa has been blocked.
Dalai Lama was due to take part in the 80th birthday celebration of Archbishop Desmond Tutu.
The Dalai Lama has cancelled his trip to South Africa, where he had been invited by fellow Nobel Peace laureate Archbishop Desmond Tutu.

The Dalai Lama was due to take part in celebrations on Friday to mark the archbishop's 80th birthday.
