Prince Harry unhurt in deadly attack on Camp Bastion
At least two U.S. Marines have been killed and several wounded officials have said in an attack on Camp Bastion in southern Afghanistan. Prince Harry was on the base at the time but was unharmed.

“Prince Harry was never in any danger,” a spokesman for the NATO-led forces said. Earlier this week the Afghan Taliban said they were doing everything in their power to either kill or kidnap the Prince who is on his second Afghan tour of duty.

NATO confirmed it would investigate whether Prince Harry’s presence had motivated the attack. The suspected Taliban action involved rocket-propelled grenades, mortars and small arms fire. The coalition base accommodates more than 21,000 people.
