Curfew On Hohoe Township & Surrounding Areas

The Minister of the Interior has on the advice of the Volta Regional Security Council and by the Executive Instrument renewed the curfew imposed on Hohoe Township and its surrounding areas with effect from Tuesday 28th August, 2012, with new curfew hours.

The new curfew hour is from 12:00pm to 5:00am.

Government continues to urge the Chief, Opinion Leaders, Youth and people of the area to channel their energies into ensuring the return of lasting peace to the area.

There is meanwhile, a ban on all persons in the Hohoe Township and its surrounding areas from carrying arms, ammunition or any offensive weapon, and any person fund with any arms or ammunition will arrested and prosecuted.
