IMANI In Doubt About Free SHS Policy
A day after the NPP launched its 2012 Manifesto, IMANI Ghana is still raising issues with the costing of the free SHS policy.

Executive Director, Franklin Cudjoe believes the NPP must target students who cannot afford to pay the fees rather than implementing the policy en bloc.

He said if the policy is not properly structured before it is implemented, it will collapse the current school system and force parents to take their wards to private schools.

In a related development, the Head of Policy Monitoring and Evaluation at the Office of the President, Dr Tony Aidoo says implementing the free SHS policy promised in the NPP's manifesto will amount to wasting resources that can be used to solve the unemployment situation and develop the job market.
