The Daily Graphic reiterates the danger posed by a disputed electoral roll especially in an election year. It calls for confidence-building in the electoral process through the acceptance of the electoral roll by all contestants in the polls. The Graphic cautions that disputed elections in some neighbouring countries have caused serious harm. Therefore, Ghana should take a cue from them and immediately address the challenges to avert chaos. The paper calls on all stakeholders, especially the Electoral Commission, the government, political parties, the Inter-Party Advisory Committee and the electorate to play by the rules to avoid electoral violence.

The Ghanaian Times says now that the storm is over it behoves President Mahama to set the ball rolling by rallying his team together for the anticipated positive move. It hopes President Mahama will decongest the seat of government by pruning down the number of staffers. The paper urges him to take a critical look at his Cabinet and make changes if necessary to inject more dynamism and enthusiasm into his government. It also entreats the President to put his team together without delay and confront the challenges ahead of him head on. The Times pleads with Ghanaians to give the new President and his team the needed peace and encouragement to enable them to pursue the development agenda of the government and make life meaningful to all. It wishes the President well with the difficult task ahead of him.
