The Mirror commends Ghanaians for the three-day funeral of the late President Atta Mills and hopes that these noble acts will be a nine-day wonder. According to the paper, Ghanaians once again lived up to the accolade of being Africans shining star because of the peaceful transition after the death of the late President. The paper congratulates Ghanaians for burying their differences and coming together to mourn the President. It also lauds the funeral planning committee and those who played diverse roles in ensuring an incident free programme.

The Catholic Standards urges Ghanaians to soberly reflect on the legacy of late President Mills and move the country forward in love, unity, growth and continues stability. It lauds the late President's dedication to democratic principles and calls on the people of Ghana to continue with the same peace. The Standards expresses delight by the extra ordinary show of love displayed by all sections of the populace including the political divide.
