Dr. Constance Bart-Plange, Programme Manager of the National Malaria Control Programme
The National Malaria Control Programme, NMCP, says the number of deaths caused by malaria has reduced from about four thousand in 2010 to a little more than two thousand in 2015.
The Programme Manager, Dr. Constance Bart-Plange said the achievement became possible because of the interventions adopted by the NMCP over the period.
Dr. Bart Plange announced this at a media briefing in Accra to herald World Malaria Day, which falls on Monday, the 25th of this month.
The theme for the day is, 'End Malaria for Good; Invest in Malaria'.
