President Mills reshuffles Deputy Ministers, appoints new DCEs
President John Evans Atta Mills has made some Deputy Ministerial changes and appointments.
A statement signed by the Secretary to the President J.K Bebaako-Mensah said Deputy Eastern Regional Minister, Baba Jamal Mohammed Ahmed moves to the Ministry of Information to replace James Agyenim Boateng who moves to the Ministry of Tourism.
Deputy Minister for Trade and Industry Mahama Ayariga moves to the Ministry of Education, to be replaced by Dr.
Annan, currently the Deputy Minister for Education.
Kwabena Owusu Acheampong, Deputy Minister for Tourism is now Deputy Minister for Interior.
Aquinas Quansah has been appointed Deputy Minister Designate for the Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development as an additional Deputy, whiles Ernest Attuquaye Armah has been appointed Deputy Minister Designate for Communications.
Emelia Arthur has been appointed Deputy Minister for the Western Region whiles Ebenezer Okletey Terlabi goes to the Eastern Region as Deputy.
President Mills has also appointed new Metropolitan, Municipal and District Chief Executives.
They are Brong Ahafo Region: Apraku Lartey- Tano North, Atta Bosompem – Asunafo South.
Ashanti Region: Solomon Agyei-Mensah - Sekyere East, Samuel Asiamah – Sekyere Afram Plains and Eastern Region: Reginald Asamoah Osae – Kwaebibirem.
