W/R GTB closes down over 20 hospitality facilities

The Western Regional Office of the Ghana Tourism Authority , GTB ,has closed down over Twenty hospitality facilities including hotels,restaurants, chop bars and drinking spots. These facilities were found to be operating without liences, expired liences or operating under unapproved conditions.
Western Regional Director of GTB, Micheal Kpinbi said the operation which begun on Monday will continue until the industry is cleared of misfits.
He said the hospitality industry does not only provide services for Ghanaians but also foreigners who come to invest in the country especially the Western Region in view of the oil exploration activities there.
Mr. Kpinbi spoke to Correspondent Marie Aziz Tunde in Takoradi.
