Vacant Management Position At GBC
Applications are invited from suitably qualified Ghanaians for the vacant management position of Director of Human Resource in the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation [GBC]:

The successful applicant will report to the Director General.

JOB PURPOSE
Promote and implement human resource values by planning and managing human resource policies, procedures and practices.

MAIN DUTIES
• Develop and implement HR strategy aligned to Corporate strategy
• Formulate, implement and monitor adherence to HR policies
• Prepare, control and monitor budget of Human Resource Division and human resource services
• Design and implement HR systems to facilitate recruitment and selection, orientation, training and development, compensation and benefits, retention and succession planning, employee labour relations and compliance with the labour laws, employee safety, welfare, wellness and health,
• Ensure monthly, quarterly and annual reports of the Division and other corporate reports are collated, compiled and submitted timeously to the Director General
• Support management by providing human resource advice, counsel and decisions, analyzing information and implications
• Development of an employee-oriented high performance culture that emphasizes empowerment, productivity and standards, quality, continuous improvement and goal attainment
• Undertake regular review of HR and administrative systems, policies and procedures to ensure conformity with best practice
• Serve on Governance Committee of the Board on all HR related issues/matters

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
• Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
• Exceptional interpersonal communication [oral and written] skills
• Innovative in finding creative new solutions to complex problems
• Foster teamwork, people’s skills, building relationships, management proficiency and organizational astuteness
• Must be computer literate with proficiency in relevant applications

EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS:
• Must possess a Masters or Executive Master Degree in Business Administration or Human Resource Management with ten (10) years relevant experience, at least five [5] of which should be in a senior management position
