Ghana AIDS Commission on reduction in HIV infections
The Ghana AIDS Commission has attributed the significant reduction in new HIV infections in the country over the last decade to interventions and efforts made by the Commission.

Speaking to Radio Ghana, its Director of Technical Services, Dr. Richard Amenya, also expressed gratitude to President Mahama for his show of commitment to reducing mother to child transmission.

HIV infections reduced in Ghana by 66 percent, which is the highest rate in West and Central Africa.

Despite this significant achievement, Dr. Amenya says the Commission will not relent in its effort.
