The Speaker of Parliament, Professor Aaron Mike Oquaye, has directed the Joint Committee on Constitutional, Legal and Parliamentary Affairs and Communication to expedite action on the Right to Information Bill (RTI) Bill.
Parliament reconvened May 15 for the Second Meeting of the Second Session of the Seventh Parliament of the Fourth Republic.
Addressing Legislators, Professor Oquaye told the joint committee to ensure it completes work on the RTI Bill expeditiously and submit a report as quickly as possible.
He further urged the Legislators not to relent on their efforts to curb illegal mining, and also work diligently on the other 48 bills scheduled for business during the session.
