The Minister of Defence, Dominic Nitiwul, has condemned the lackadaisical manner in which lands belonging to the Ghana Armed Forces have been managed.

He said many of such lands have either been encroached upon or illegally sold out without consent. Speaking at the Meet the Press series in Accra, Mr. Nitiwul, said some politicians and top personalities in society are involved in this illegal act.

He said his Ministry will investigate these issues and ensure that such lands are returned to the rightful owners.

Mr. Nitiwul said government has began to address the housing deficit for military personnel. Also, six patrol boats are being provided along with 50 buses to help in on-shore and off-shore operations among others.
