Uganda considers hiring 200 Cuban doctors to replace striking locals

The Ugandan government is considering hiring 200 Cuban doctors to replace local practitioners on strike.

Report says cabinet has given the go-ahead for the plan but the decision is not final.

The doctors suspended their strike on November 25 to give government time to fulfill their demands.

These include one thousand 400 dollars as monthly salary.

The doctors gave the government up to December 16 when they will decide on the next line of action.
