All is set for the 33rd National Farmers Day celebration. Sixty-seven farmers would be honoured at the Heroes Park in Kumasi.
The awardees are made up of five farmers from each of the ten Regions plus seventeen from the national level.
As part of strategies to encourage the youth into Agriculture, this year’s awards will include the 'Best Youth Farmer'.
The annual event was first celebrated in 1985 to honour farmers in reviving the country's Agriculture Sector through various activities which ended in the 1983 famine and long drought around the period.
