Allegations against the Matron of Ghana Senior High School,(GHANASS) in Koforidua in the Eastern Regional, Comfort Oduro Bruce for diverting foodstuff meant to feed students of the school has been confirmed by the headmaster, Rev. Abraham Donkor.
On November 16, 2017, the matron was seen transporting the food products out of the school by the security man who raised the alarm but the vehicle carrying the foodstuffs drove away.
According to him, there was no evidence for him to use at the initial stage to take action so he set up a six member committee which consisted of the bursar, Senior Housemistress and some staff members to help him to unravel the truth.
Out of the investigations, the headmaster found that items suspected to be stolen are tins of milk and tin tomatoes.
Rev. Donkor also laid hands on an audio recording of the matron which confirmed the theft.
It was after this that the matron confessed and apologized to the headmaster but he told her it was too late since National Security has taken up the issue and that he could not do anything about it.
The matron has since not reported to duty since the incident.
Rev. Donkor denied accusation against him by the matron for taking two thousand Cedis from parents of first year students.
The case has been handed over to the police for action.
