Italian PM charges African leaders to create peaceful environment for youth development initiatives

The Italian Prime Minister, Paolo Gentiloni, has charged African Leaders to create a peaceful atmosphere for the Youth of their countries if they care about their future.
Mr. Gentiloni said the rate at which the Continent is plagued with political instability, human trafficking, terrorism and the likes, is inimical to the development of the youth and it is about time Leaders of the Continent put the future of their younger generation above all other considerations.
The Italian Prime Minister was addressing security officials at a conference at the Kofi Annan International Peacekeeping Training Centre in Accra as part of his bilateral visit to Ghana.
He said Africans must show particular interest in deepening their participation in peace-keeping missions on the Continent to ensure peaceful atmosphere for the youth.
Prime Minister, Paolo Gentiloni lauded Ghana for upholding and promoting democracy and peace.
He also congratulated the country on its significant role in peace missions around the world.
He pledged Italy`s support to Ghana`s Development Agenda.
