Vegetable produce exported to EU should meet standards - Importers & Exporters

The Executive Secretary of the Importers and Exporters Association, Samson Asaki, says the government must devise strategic measures to ensure that vegetable produce exported to the European Union meet the required standards.

Speaking to Radio Ghana at Tema, Mr. Asaki said much as the European Union has lifted the ban on Ghana’s export of plant commodities, the government, through the Agric Ministry and the Ministry of Trade and Industry must collaborate with Vegetable Exporters to ensure that the right steps are taken to enhance vegetable exports.

While applauding the government for taking steps to employ more extension officers, Mr. Asaki said government must provide them with the requisite tools to operate efficiently.
