President Akufo-Addo Swears in Deputy Food and Agric Minister

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has sworn into office the Member of Parliament for Akyim Swedru, Kennedy Osei Nyarko as Deputy Minister for Food and Agriculture.
He replaces William Quaitoo who resigned from this position following comments he made which were deemed ethnocentric.
At a brief ceremony at the presidency in Accra, President Akufo-Addo warned that he will not tolerate any subversion from his deputies.
He said the role of Deputy Ministers is to assist substantive Ministers and should remain loyal to them.
President Akufo-Addo said his government has full control over Agriculture.
He said measures are being put in place to reduce importation of food.
