Interior Minister Summoned To Parliament Over Shooting Of Two Suspects In Asawase

The First Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Joseph Osei Owusu has summoned the Interior Minister, Ambrose Dery before the House to brief the nation on what accounted for the shooting of two suspects at Asawase, in Ashanti.

The directive came after the MP for the area, Alhaji Muntaka Mubarak Mohammed drew the Houses' attention to the unfortunate incidentt.

He pleaded for calm in the area as the inhabitants are entertaining fears of a reprisal attack.

The Majority Leader, Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu said the Police side of the story will need to be heard before conclusions are drawn.

The First Deputy Speaker, Joseph Osei Owusu who was in the seat ordered the Interior Minister Ambrose Dery to appear before the House on or before November 22, to speak to the issue.
