The Colleges of Education Teachers Association of Ghana, CETAG, is demanding a written commitment from government of its readiness to pay salary arrears by the end of the month or early next month.
The National Secretary of the Association, Prince Obeng-Hemah, however told Radio Ghana that at a meeting with the Finance Ministry and other stakeholders earlier this week, government representatives failed to give written assurances.
He said until the assurances are given in writing, the strike will continue.
