Minority Demands Answers From Finance Minister On Issuance Of Energy Bond

The Minority in Parliament has accused the Minister of Finance, Ken Ofori Atta of breaching the constitution.
According to the Minority, government should have sought Parliament's approval before setting up a company using revenue from the Energy Sector levy.
The Ranking Member on the Finance Committee, Cassiel Ato Forson at a news conference in Parliament said the energy sector levy is a public tax measure, arguing any change to it without the consent of House is unconstitutional.
The Minority therefore demanded the Minister of Finance, should appear before Parliament to answer questions relating to the Energy Sector levy.
