Following the death of a first year student of the Bolgatanga Senior High School in the Upper East region, students of the school went on the rampage destroying properties valued at thousands of Ghana cedis.
According to the students, their colleague who was sick and visited the school’s dispensary was referred to the Bolgatanga regional hospital.
However, the Senior House Master refused to grant him timely permission to visit the regional hospital resulting in his death.
As part of the demonstration, the student vandalised about three vehicles including a Mahindra pickup and a private care with registration number AS 8009 P.
Radio Ghana's Upper East Regional correspondent, Dangmaa Felix Lambert reports that, the school authorities refused to comment on the issue.
