The Senior Technical Advisor at the National Development Planning Commission, Dr Grace Bediako says the lack of administrative systems in public agencies and institutions is greatly affecting the operations of the Ghana Statistical Service in terms of data collection.
She said as the World Marks Statistical Day, Ghana ought to inject more money into establishing statistical departments in all public institutions so that they can provide the Statistical Service with data on a regular basis.
This she said will make the work of data collection easier.
Dr Bediako said tracking the attitude of people is very crucial in data collection because it helps in development planning.
She said the measurement of perception should be an integral part of data collection on attitudes.
