Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia says Ghana has the capacity to move away from over dependency on aid and handouts from developed economies if the right measures are instituted.

Vice President Bawumia indicated that it is time Africa as a whole took a cue from dwindling inflows from donor partners and find innovative ways to mobilise resources locally to develop the continent.

The Vice President was speaking at a forum on "Ghana Beyond Aid, Lessons Learned From Private Sector Practices" in Accra.
