The Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia says government will launch three major projects this year to begin the process of digitalising the country's economy.
He said the world is going digital in every sphere of endeavour and President Akufo Addo's administration does not want Ghana to be left out of the revolution.
Speaking at a training programme organised by the National Communications Authority for recruited National Service Personnel, Vice President Bawumia said the first project on the agenda, which will be launched in November this year, is the digitalisation of Ghana's address system.
This he said is under the Ministry of Communications.
Second on the agenda is the launch of the National Identification Card.
Vice President Bawumia said the I.D Card is very crucial because it will define true citizens of the country.
The Vice President also mentioned the launch of inter-operability of the payment system.
He said all these projects will facilitate data integration among key public institutions.
