Parliamentary Affairs Minister Emphasizes Accountability In Public officers' Recruitment

The Minister of Parliamentary Affairs Osei Kyei-Mensah Bonsu has emphasized the need for more accountability in the recruitment processes of public officers following the interdiction of SSNIT’s General Manager for MIS over questionable qualifications.
Mr. Mensah Bonsu said the current recruitment processes leave the public sector open to corruption and inefficiency.
Mr. Mensah Bonsu who is also the Majority Leader in Ghana’s Parliament, was interacting with the media, said SSNIT must be blamed solely for failing to follow due process in its recruitment process, adding that a background check should not have been missed by the institution.
According to him thorough investigations must be conducted to purge the system of potential cronyism.
