The University of Ghana has allayed fears in the minds of a section of the public regarding the reconstruction of a toll booth at the Okponglo entrance of the university.
The original construction of the toll booth in 2014 was met with fierce resistance from the public, including some students resulting in its demolition at dawn by operatives of National Security.
The Director of Public Affairs of the University, Stella Amoah allayed the fears saying the reconstructed structure is not to collect tolls.
Rather, it is to add to its two other entrances to strengthen security on campus.
